Frequently Asked Questions

If I haven't answered your question in the FAQ below, feel free to contact me.

Can I try a Class?

Yes you can trial your first class and pay just £10 or £15 if you are attending the pregnancy or bone health class. Payment to be made 24 hours in advance. I will provide all equipment and there is no commitment to continue if you feel the class is not right for you, I will totally understand, it’s about finding the right teacher for you.

What If I haven't done Pilates before?

Lots of ladies that attend my class had never attended Pilates before, it's not a disadvantage at all, I demonstrate all moves and talk through what you need to do and where you should be feeling it, as clearly as I can. I also walk around the class correcting positions and offering suggestions if the move does not feel right for you in your body. It's why I only have a maximum of 12 ladies to a class.

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothes that enables you to stretch, without feeling restricted. Ensure tops are not too baggy, or they will go shooting up your back when you bend forward or in worse case scenario over your face, which isn't what you want. We work in socks or bare feet.

What do I need to Bring?

a mat and a sunny disposition!

Do I need special equipment to attend Class?

Only a mat, I provide everything else you will need and these includes support blocks, bands, Pilates circles, ankle weights, loop bands, soft small balls, gliders, massage balls and neck rests.

How soon can I start Pilates after having a baby?

Post baby, give yourself a good 6 weeks rest before attending a class.

I have/had an injury can I attend class?

It depends on what the injury is. Each attendee must complete a health form before attending class and I will talk this through with you. I will work round any injuries you may have but for bulged/prolapsed discs you need to work with a specialist and I would advise not exercising until you have had treatment.
