Discover the benefits of Yin yoga
My Monthly Friday Night Yin Club offers a peaceful way to begin each month, giving you time to slow down, relax and reconnect with yourself. As a Yoga Alliance-qualified Yin Yoga teacher, I gently guide each session, introducing you to the calming practice of Yin yoga, where supportive postures are held for three to five minutes to encourage stillness and deep relaxation.
Unlike more active styles of yoga, I use Yin yoga to help nourish the body's connective tissues and fascia, supporting greater flexibility, mobility, circulation and overall well-being. I aim to create a calm, welcoming space where you can unwind, practise mindfulness and leave feeling refreshed in both body and mind.

A relaxing and supportive evening
At Carshalton Pilates, I've created a warm, welcoming environment where you can unwind from the demands of everyday life. Every posture is performed lying down and can be adapted with supportive equipment to help you feel as comfortable as possible, making the practice both accessible and enjoyable.
I recommend wearing comfortable, layered clothing and bringing a pillow or blanket if you'd like some extra support. If you have a yoga bolster, you're very welcome to bring that along too. To help you feel your best during the session, I also suggest avoiding a heavy meal beforehand and choosing a light snack if needed.
Suitable for every woman
I welcome women from all walks of life, age and ability to my Yin yoga sessions. No prior knowledge is needed, and I adapt every posture to suit your flexibility, mobility and comfort level, so you can enjoy the practice at your own pace.
Yin yoga can be particularly beneficial for adults over 40, with research suggesting it may help improve flexibility, support healthy fascia, reduce inflammation, encourage better circulation, improve sleep quality and promote emotional wellbeing. I keep my class sizes small to create a calm, supportive atmosphere where you can relax, move mindfully and enjoy the practice in a way that feels right for you.
