What the sessions offer
A session that asks nothing from you
You do not need to be flexible or experienced to take part. I guide the evening in a way that helps you settle without pressure.
Relaxation that goes beyond stretching
Yin gives you time to soften physically. The gong helps quiet the busy mental chatter that can follow you through the day.
A local space that feels easy to walk into
I keep the atmosphere friendly, calm and supportive. That matters when you want wellbeing without intimidation.
Experience an evening of deep relaxation
I invite you to join us for a women-only evening designed to help you slow down, release tension, and restore both body and mind. Led by Sue Murkin, founder of Carshalton Pilates, Mindfulness Teacher, NLP Master Practitioner, and Yoga Alliance Yin Yoga Teacher, alongside Katerina Lafite, Gong Master, Reiki Drum Practitioner, and Crystal Healer, each session creates a peaceful space where you can step away from everyday pressures and focus on your wellbeing. Whether you're looking to ease stress, calm a busy mind or simply give yourself the space to pause and reset, our Yin Yoga & Gong Meditation classes offer a welcoming environment where you can reconnect with yourself through movement, stillness, sound and vibration.

Gentle yin yoga combined with gong healing
These Yin Yoga & Gong Meditation sessions combine the deep, mindful stretches of Yin Yoga with the immersive vibrations of hand-played gongs to create a truly restorative experience. As you settle into each pose, the rich layers of sound and frequency help quiet the mind, encouraging your body to shift away from the constant demands of everyday life and into a state of deep rest.
A welcoming experience for everyone
I welcome complete beginners as well as those with previous yoga experience. Every posture is performed lying down and can be supported with equipment, making each session suitable if you have balance concerns or reduced mobility. I recommend wearing comfortable, layered clothing, as your body temperature may change during relaxation. All equipment is provided, you only need to bring a pillow for support. I also offer a Yin Yoga Club and mat-work Pilates classes, giving you more ways to enjoy the benefits of mindful movement and relaxation.
Relax, restore and leave feeling renewed
More than simply listening to relaxing sounds, gong meditation uses vibration and resonance to influence the body's natural relaxation response. Research suggests that sound-based meditation can help encourage slower brainwave activity associated with meditation and deep relaxation, supporting reduced stress, improved mental clarity and a greater sense of balance. Combined with the long-held postures of Yin yoga, the experience creates the ideal environment for your body's own natural restorative processes to take place.
